“S. L. Jennings’ “The Dark Prince”—book 2 in “The Dark Light Series”—is the heart-rending continuation of Gabriella and Dorian’s love story.  Jennings brings back many of the characters introduced in book 1; however, she also introduces a host of new paranormal, human, and hybrid characters to keep the series interesting.  Her heroes are aggressive, robust, compelling, and hedonistic.  Her heroines are sassy, assertive, strong, and wanton.  Her villains are charismatic, capricious, volatile, and sadistic.  Jennings character combinations explode off the page.  Although “The Dark Prince” contains a fair amount of action and romance, the majority of the story is a tear-jerking emotional exploration that is worth every step of the journey.  “The Dark Prince” will leave readers anxiously looking forward to book 3 “Light Shadows”.   Copyright 2013 by Amber L.
